We are pleased to announce that this summer, members of the Lenox Hill CSA will be able to order extra items from a variety of New York and Vermont farms, through Lewis Waite Farm. LWF only makes deliveries to Manhattan on certain days of the week, so the pick-up will be at the Yorkville location of the Stoneledge Farm CSA, on Tuesday evenings, twice a month. If you place an order, you will need to pick it up outside the Church of the Epiphany, on East 74th Street between 1st Avenue & York, from 4:00-7:00pm. This is separate from the CSA membership, so ordering is completely optional. You are free to buy something once, or to place regular orders every week.
Available products include artisanal cheese, free-range chicken, grass-fed beef, dried beans and grains, eggs, pastured pork products, maple syrup, and more. Miles and the core group are planning a tasting event to take place during one of our regular deliveries in June so members can sample the food. Many of us placed orders in the past few months, during the Winter Sun Farms deliveries, and have been very satisfied.
Information about Lewis Waite and instructions for placing an order can be found here:
Deliveries will be made on the following dates (also noted on the calendar on the volunteer schedule tab above):
6/7*, 6/21, 7/12, 7/26, 8/9, 8/23, 9/13, 9/27, 10/11, 10/25, 11/8, 11/22
*The first pick-up of the season will be at a member’s home, rather than the church.
